responsibilities of parents of children with special needs under the NEW!
Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) 2004, the NEW State
Special Education Code 2006, and Section 504 of the Vocational
Rehabilitation Act on December 13, 2006 from 7pm9pm at Valley

The 2006 National Caregivers Conference, Take Comfort in
Knowledge will take place November 2 & 3 at the Sheraton at
Woodbridge Place, Iselin. Hosted by The Family Support Center of New
Jersey, the conference will offer the opportunity to hear from nationally
known speakers, meet caregivers and providers from around the country
and view innovative programs, technologies and exhibits. To register:
The Wyckoff Family Y is pleased to announce Billys Buddies, a brand-
new outreach program for children with Down syndrome and their
families. Billys Buddies is a comprehensive program engaging young
children with Down syndrome while providing their families with valuable
resources and networking opportunities. The kick-off event will be
Saturday, September 16th from 9:30-11:30am in the Kuiken Community
Room. Kathy Elleo, the Billys Buddies Director, will introduce the
program to parents and highlight upcoming events, speakers and
workshops. Q & A session will follow. During the parent meeting, the
children, aged 2-6, will enjoy a creative arts class led by a qualified
special needs instructor. There is no cost for this event.
