Our Annual Helpful Hands NREIC Casino
Night was held on November 3, 2007 at The
Bethwood in Totowa, New Jersey and was a
HUGE successwe made over $13,000!
Thanks to all who participated, helped to
organize, and made donations! All proceeds
will go to support the Special Needs Fund and
other family-centered activities of the NREIC.

attend a Community Program on Autism, Asperger
Syndrome presentation by Ami Klin, Ph.D.
Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Congregation
Adath Israel, 1958 Lawrenceville Road,
Lawrenceville, NJ. Dr. Ami Klin is the Harris
Associate Professor of Child Psychology and
Psychiatry at the Yale Child Study Center, Yale
University School of Medicine, New Haven, Conn.
There is no fee for this presentation. Registration

The Judy Center at Hackensack University Medical
Center will present a seminar on January 30, 2008
featuring Danny Marain, MT-BC, Board Certified
Music Therapist. Mr. Marain will provide you with
an opportunity to learn about Music Therapy and
how it enhances your childs ability to
communicate and express.

translator, request one when you call.
Please contact them also if you wish to participate
in their new Hanen program on child feeding that
will begin soon. This will be very valuable for small
children with Down syndrome. You as the parent,
will be taught feeding techniques.
