Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:00-5:00
The Service Coordinator will work in the
System Point of Entry (SPOE) Department at the NREIC, under the SPOE Service
Coordinator Supervisor, to obtain referral information from families with
infants/toddlers with developmental delays through a telephone interview
process; enter SPOE data using state forms and procedures; coordinate paperwork
and maintain child records; ensure that timelines are being met; maintain
resource materials and information; coordinate with targeted evaluation team on
and perform other administrative duties, as needed.
Must meet the standards for any professional level early intervention
personnel position OR (2) Have a
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in a related health,
human service, or education field AND
must have at least one year of documented professional experience working
with children and families in a counseling, supporting, or case management role.
Documented professional experience with individuals birth to five years of age
and their families is preferable.
Requires the ability to work
effectively with families; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and
in writing; effective interview skills; ability to maintain accurate, legible
and complete documentation; basic computer skills (Word, Excel); good problem
solving skills; ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate
cultural sensitivity; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; ability
to work individually, as well as a team member; successful completion of system
Salary commensurate with experience.
