Open Position: Service Coordinator Associate

Location: Helpful Hands, Inc. The Northeast Regional Early Intervention Collaborative 65 Willowbrook Boulevard, Wayne, NJ 07470

Shift/Schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday

Date Opened: February 10, 2012

Summary: The Service Coordinator Associate will work in the System Point of Entry (SPOE) Department at the NREIC, under the supervision of a Service Coordinator, to obtain referral information from families with infant/toddlers with developmental delays through a telephone interview process; enter SPOE data using state form and procedures; Coordinate paperwork and maintain child record; ensure that timelines are being met ; maintain resource materials and information ; coordinate with targeted evaluation team on scheduling evaluations/assessments; and other administrative duties, as needed.

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED, minimum, Associate degree in related field preferred; ability to work effectively with families; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; effective interview skills; ability to maintain accurate, legible and complete documentation; basic computer skills (Word, Excel), good problem solving skills ; ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural sensitivity; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work individually, as well as a team member; successful completion of system training.
