Join our ONLINE Support Community...
We are proud to announce the creation of several online groups:
There is a new online support group called Autism Parents and Pros NJ. It is open to anyone who is involved in the world of autism who lives/works in New Jersey. The goal of this group is to connect families and professionals in the world of autism to offer each other support and information. Professionals can feel free to let parents know about upcoming events and what services they provide that may be useful to the families. Parents can do what we do best, ask questions and get different responses and opinions from different professionals and other families who have been through similar experiences.

"NJ Early Intervention Families"
This web-based list-serv group is for families of children who are enrolled in early intervention services in New Jersey. The purpose of the group is to provide an opportunity to meet other families, share ideas, give and receive support and learn new information. Parenting a young child with special needs is a joyful and challenging task that can be enhanced by the friendship and support of others. Join us to share your child's accomplishments, receive support for your challenges, swap solutions to problems and make new friends.
A couple of cautions: Please refrain from using the group to complain about specific agencies, doctors or providers. Information presented on the list is not intended to be medical or therapeutic advice. All questions regarding appropriate health care and intervention strategies for your child should be discussed with your physician or early intervention provider.

"NJ Early Intervention Families"

The Family seems to be the most
effective and economical system for fostering and sustaining the child’s
development.
Without family involvement, intervention is likely to be
unsuccessful, And what few effects are achieved are likely to disappear once the intervention is
discontinued. — Urie Bronfenbrenner
